Sekhukhune Appoint New Head Coach
Sekhukhune United have appointed Brandon Truter as their new head coach.
Last Tuesday, 1 November, Sekhukhune – who are languishing at 15th place in the relegation zone with 11 points – sacked coach Kaitano Tembo after only 12 league games (of which they won two, drawn five and lost five).
Now, according to reports, the club have already found their replacement in the form of Truter, with one source saying that it’s “already a done deal.”
Truter’s coaching experience is extensive: he previously coached Richards Bay, Swallows FC and, most recently, AmaZulu FC.
However, the 52-year-old was sacked last month by AmaZulu following a poor start to the Premier League Soccer season: at the time of his firing, the club recorded seven wins, seven draws and five losses.
Will fourth time be the charm as Truter takes over the reins at Sekhukhune? Will he be able to reverse their fortunes? Time, as always, will tell!
